Training  And  Development   In Today’s  Competitive World

All of us know that training is vital for an organisation to develop the employee.when a child is born he requires constant touch of parents till he  Stands on his own feet.An organisation though flowered by creams of the society ,still training is required due to rapid technological upgradation and change in working methods everyday.

Continued self development-Training aims at continued self-development of the employees.Employees are expected to develop themselves continuosly in an organisation.When the employees in an organisation are developed from time to time  with all updated knowledge,then definitely that organisation will grow to a greater height.

Self-effort-Each employee has the ability to develop self by self.A well planned self effort is required on the part of every employee to develop themselves by gaining knowledge all the time about their organisation.They should evaluate their performance by themselves and should know where they are in the organization. All of us know that  training is required for development of  not only an employee,but also that of an organisation.. By self effort employee can train themselves in an efficient manner.When food is there on the dining table no one should tell us how to eat.By self effort employees can not only change themselves,but also can create a better picture of the organisation.

Vigilance while on the job-An employee should be vigilant while on the job.now-a-days so many frauds are taking place,especially in financial institutions by making fradulent transactions.The employee should equip himself about the frauds taking palce  by knowing the details of the same and know the delicate areas in which this can take place.He should have sufficient knowledge about the happenings of fraud and should be intelligent enough to grasp the modus operandi of thefraud.Fraud is happening due to the negligence of the employee while on work.So the employee should keep himself all the tine alert on the work front and should have a total mastery over all the aspects of his work.For this it is advised that he should develop self-mastery.

Learning while doing-This is a very best method,by which employee can learn so many things and make himself a master in all areas of his work.In today’s computer age an employee should not do the work mechanically,but should know how the work is being carried out.while performing a task. In the computer employee comes across various steps and sometines faces difficulties,which he can solve by himself.While completing a task an employee should apply his own imagination and should know all the aspects,by that he can be a creative worker and his performance will be much better.Here we remember Aeinstein,who just applied his imagination and intution and was able to shake the world by discovering the theory of relativity.

Off the job activities-Off the job activities are very important on the part of the employee,which will give him a boost for the next day’s work.After retiring from the day’s job an employee should utilise his time in a fruitful way.He can do the things of his own interest,which will boost his body,mind and intellect.There number of things ,which he can do.He can paricipate in discussions with friends regarding his organisation,participate in seminars,spend time in house with children and wife and can educate them about various aspects of life,which will benefit him also.He can give time to visit beautiful spots of his liking with his family and friends at every week end.If he is a spiritual person he can  visit a temple and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the temple ,there by forgetting day’s tiredness and any mental anguish felt in the organisation.

Training needs according to age-Training needs vary from age to age.In my opinion older people require less training on Hrd than younger people,because old people are matured enough to handle people than younger people,on the other hand old people require more training on advanced technology to make their works at par with the younger workers.so suitable training methodology should be devised according to age.

Health awareness-Employees should be given training on how to keep their health in good condition,how to keep themselves fit both physically and mantally and how to overcome stress,anxiety etc arising due to the work pressure.They should be given training on yoga and should be guided by the selfhelp experts,which can keep them happy and conteded through out the day.Health is wealth.Once health is lost an employee’s condition becomes miserable,While expecting maximum from the employee in terms of out put,no organisation has the right to neglect this aspect of the employee..

Management and employees relationship-There should be training by spiritual experts and Bishops regarding the upkeep of the management and employees relationship All the time.management should be constantly reminded that it can not impose every thing on the employees  without taking care of their needs and expect maximum from them,by that employees management realationship will be in a jeopardy.Both employers and employees should be given training on all aspects of human being,so that a harmonious environment will be created in the organisation and organisation will go to a  greater height.

Training aims at all round development of the employees and methods are divised continuosly to make the employee sound in all aspects,which is not only important in work palce,but also in society.By taking full advantage of the training programmes an employee can be an outstanding worker,by which he can contribute more to the organisation and can develop on the organisational ladder.His quality of work will be recognised  by all and he will feel satisfied all the time and in home front also he can keep good relations with all the family members.
